TOURNAMENT OUTLINE

2018 SEASON

PRICE:
$935 Per Player and/or Per Coach
CBW Approved Umpire Required.
No Umpire Fee: $950/team

AGES:
12U, 13U, 14U, 15U & 16U

LODGING:
Dormitory at SUNY-College at Oneonta (2 players per room, 2 coaches per team (minimum) as monitors – Resident Hall monitors, Security Office in next building, Infirmary in Dormitory

BOARD:
Three meals per day provided by CBW catering service (Box meal if you have back to back games). Meals start with Saturday night dinner and end with Thursday lunch.

Used for 11U & 12U age division

Two CBW Fields at SUNY-Oneonta & Neahwa Park
SUCO campus field dimensions: 275-300-275
Neahwa Park field dimensions: 325-375-325
Used for 13U age division

SUNY-Oneonta University Field (on campus across from dorms)

Damaschke Field (Five minutes from the campus in Neahwa Park)
Former home of the Detroit Tigers Class A affiliate in the NYP League

RULES

Major League rules with some modifications (see rules sheet)
11U-12U: Base paths: 70 ft. Pitching Mound: 50ft.
13U: Base paths: 80 ft. Pitching Mound: 56ft.
14U-15U: Base paths: 90 ft. Pitching Mound: 60ft., 6 inches

UNIFORMS:
Each team must bring its own uniform(s) and equipment - we want you to wear your own uniform with pride representing your team, league, city, and state.

UMPIRES:
Each team is asked to bring an umpire with them. Applications for prospective umpires are on our website under the “Umpires” section. They must be submitted for approval by April 15th of your tournament year.

"SCOUTS TRYOUT"
On Saturday night after your arrival and check-in, we will hold a "SCOUTS TRYOUT" whereby we will be conducting the same skill tests that they use at professional tryouts: 70 - 90 yard dash (dependent upon age division), throws from outfield for accuracy, throws from infield for velocity, catcher throws for accuracy, pitchers accuracy test, etc. – Home Run Derby is the final event.

FORMAT:
10 to 12 team maximum (minimum tournament size is 6)
All teams play a minimum of eight games (weather permitting)
Teams are put into one of two pools.

POOL PLAY

Each team plays 5 pools games (the day you only have 1 game is also your day to visit the National Baseball Hall of Fame)

Sunday -- 1 or 2 Pool Games
Monday -- 1 or 2 Pool Games
Tuesday -- 1 or 2 Pool Games



SINGLE ELIMINATION TOURNAMENT
Seeding for the tournament is based upon the team records in pool play

Wednesday Morning 4 lowest seeded teams play – winners move on to play the top 4 seeded teams

Wednesday Morning 4 remaining teams play in first round (seeds 3-6)

Wednesday Afternoon 4 Early Morning Winners Play Seeds 1 - 4

4 Losing Teams from the morning start the consolation bracket

Thurs. Morning Semi- Finals (4 Teams)

Thursday Late Morning Consolation Games

Thursday Afternoon Consolation Finals

Thursday Evening CHAMPIONSHIP GAME

Friday Morning -- Rain Date / Check-Out (BY NOON)

CBW will offer other events for participants, outside of the tournament play.
